I am always on the lookout for what is new! I have a few affordable products that I found in the drugstore to try out and give my thoughts on. Half the fun of makeup is getting a new product to try and when you find a good one it is just so fun to pick up every day. New launches are becoming so frequent due to the hype around makeup and beauty gurus on youtube. Without further ado here are some new fun products!

1. e.l.f Poreless Putty Primer

Shop Now: Ulta

So I had to try this one out after people began raving that this is a Tatcha primer dupe. I am obsessed with a good dupe! I found this product to be a tad stiffer than the high-end counterpoint but it gave me an extremely similar effect on my pores and I liked how it made my T-zone look

2. Covergirl + Olay Advanced Radiance Foundation

Shop Now: Amazon

So next I tried on a foundation, this is a thick, creamy consistency and has an SPF of 10 for a bit of extra protection. This product is said to hydrate throughout the day and fill in fine lines and wrinkles. It’s got a subtle glow, not quite dewy but also not a true matte. It is also meant to improve skin’s tone over time so we shall see as I use this more!

3. Colourpop Blush Stick

Shop Now: Ulta

Can we call Colourpop drugstore?? I mean it is a great affordable price and available at Ulta so in this list we can let it slide! I love me a good blush stick. I just feel like with a stipple brush blended out a stick blush will appear more natural and long-lasting than a cream or a powder. Blush is one of my favorite so this one, of course, was a win. It was soft and buildable you could apply with your fingers to pack a quicker punch.

4. e.l.f Jelly Pop Face and Eye Gloss

Shop Now: Ulta

So I am not sure how I feel about this whole Jelly collection from e.l.f. I skipped a lot of the products strictly for having a really intense scent, but I got very curious about an eye gloss! I thought this could be very editorial. It is very subtle, just a weird sort of glittery shimmer on my lids. It didn’t feel horrible, but I did feel it kind of sliding around on my eyes. Not a huge fan of this as an eye product. That being said I used it as a highlight and it really did last all day and looked very subtle and pretty so it’s a 5 out of 10.

5. Revlon Ultra HD Vinyl Lip Polish

Shop Now: Amazon

I was just way too excited for these as I loved the Ultra HD matte. These looked so pretty, but I also felt like the deeper shades could become super messy! It is one of those patent leather looking shine glosses and they are a tiny bit sticky, but that being said they are extremely pigmented and deliver on the color shown on the tube. All in all, I find them worth the stickiness.

I had a ton of fun trying some new products. This blog is such an excellent way for me to get my new makeup urge to splurge out! I feel like I have to test new stuff right?? Besides, for these prices, I feel like it wasn’t too much risk. Give them a try for yourself!
